How Machine Learning will Create New Jobs

It comes as no surprise that the word ‘machine learning’ often invokes a sense of anxiety and fear in many of us. Fear of machine learning snatching away our jobs one day, or fear of the myriad possibilities of machine learning. However, those who fear that machine learning will take their jobs can breathe a sigh of relief, because humans are adaptive, they are smart, intelligent and more agile than any machine, AI or robot ever created.  Moreover, they have the potential to find a new job if a machine replaces them in their job.

Over the past few years, much has been said about the impact of machine learning or artificial intelligence (AI) on employment, particularly the possible effects of automation. These outcomes will happen differently in different sectors. Only time will tell what jobs will get eliminated, but one thing that is certain is that technology will transform the way we live, the way we work and the way we play.

Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence will Create New Jobs
Whenever new kinds of automation emerge, we see different types of professions come into the
limelight.  When the 1st industrial revolution broke out in the United States, it was suggested that many people would lose their jobs. However, nothing of that sort happened. Before the first industrial revolution in America, we did not have the Information Technology (IT) industry or machine operators. Most of the jobs were done manually by physical labor. Like every revolution in history, this one too created countless job opportunities for humans.

It is generally believed that one in every two jobs will be replaced with the advent of automation, machine learning, and Artificial Intelligence (AI), but the extent to which the jobs get replaced by machines depend on the extent of high-volume tasks and the frequency involved in each profession. If the profession demands critical business decision making and tackling of novel situations, which don’t have a stored data set, machine learning or artificial intelligence (AI) can’t replace humans. However, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) bring a plethora of new job opportunities. If we look at the current trends in the market, we can see that jobs such as Data Scientists, AI instructor, AI/Machine learning engineers, AI instructor, Data labeling professionals, Data protection specialists and many others will emerge with the rise of machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI).

From this we can say that it’s the right time to make a career move towards Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning by taking machine learning programs online from a reputed institute.
